Exhibitions

For the three full days of the conference, Monday 13 September through Wednesday 15 September, the exhibitions listed below will take place in the Great Hall in the Strand Campus of King's College London. Exhibitors will demonstrate their electronic resources and show relevant books to conference delegates. Sales of commercial products at the conference has been encouraged.

Hours. The DRH exhibition area will be open as follows:

  • Monday: 8.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
Please note that all exhibitions will be taken down by Wednesday at 5 p.m. Since not all of the exhibitions are booked for the full period, delegates are encouraged to visit them early. A printed schedule will be provided at the conference.

Serendipitous demonstrations. In addition to the scheduled exhibitions, a computer is provided for spontaneous demonstrations and experiments in an area known as Serendip, Horace Walpole's coinage and origin of the word serendipity, "The faculty of making happy and unexpected discoveries by accident" (OED s.v.). This computer may be reserved in single half-hour blocks by any delegate during the conference.
